Mrs. Stots' twin sister Clara and brother Stanley were their attendants. The reception was held at the home of the bride‘s aunt and uncle. Later, in 1948, Mr. Stots joined the staff of the Toronto and York Roads Commission, later the York Regional Roads Department. He retired from that position at the end of December, after 26 years‘ service. On Saturday the couple were honored guests at an anniversary party given by their son Milford and his wife Esther and family at their home, 28 Pintail Crescent, Don Mills. Neighbourhood Notes Mrs. Fred Sing of Agin- court spoke on arts and crafts, when the Buttonville Women’s Institute met at WI Hall January 16. She stressed particularly the present interest in the revival of pioneer crafts, and spoke of her own work along this vein. Mrs. Garnet Francey presented a paper on Consumer and Family Affairs. The baby pictures brought by members as a guessing contest created much interest. Mrs. Tim Paterson and Mrs. George Barker each guessed 10 of the 15 picture subjects. Frierids were sorry to learn Mrs. Alf Shenfield has been ill. Mrs. Beulah Jones. a lifelong resident of Gor- mley, moved Thursday to the Parkview Apartments in Stouffville. Beulah, as she is af- fectionately called by her many friends, lived here in the same house all her life until she sold it to Mr. and Mrs. David Sloss in June 1973. Since then she has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Doner until her apartment was ready in Stouffville. Little Mark Doner spent a week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Doner. Mrs. Ken Baker has bee confined to her hom through illness for a couple of weeks. Mrs. Albert Hawkins, Mr. and Mrs. John Hawkins and Mrs. and Mrs. Ray Hawkins were guests at the wedding of Miss Judy Cole and Bruce Draper at Sunderland Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. George Barrett had dinner Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown of Gravenhurst. Rev. and Mrs. Walter Kelly, who recently came home from missionary service in Nicaragua, Central America, had a fire in their rented home in Breslau. There was smoke and water damage. For- tunately the Kellys were awakened at 4 am by the crackling sound in the basement and were able to get the fire under control before too much damage was done.
