Most of them fond. As one of many who came into the fastball picture through the efforts of Russ Cripps. we feel that some tribute should be paid to him for his contribution to the game. and the world-wide acclaim he has brought to Canada. Ontario and Rich- mond Hill. To say nothing about his original home town. Timmins. Casey is very much his own man. and as such you always know where you stand with him. No waffler is he. Strong and outspoken personalities often pick up adversaries through life. But then again. many a time have we heard it said that if a person was Pay tribute to Casey? The Scotia boys also won Tuesday of last week but this was a 4-3 cliff-hanger over Unionville. Richmond Hill built up a 4- 1 lead but had to hang on in the final period as Union- ville came on strong to come within one goal of tying it up. Scoring for Richmond Hill was John P. Farrell unassisted; Bryan Cox unassisted; Adam Cox from Jamie Gwillam; Paul Thomas from Bobby Petroff. down on his luck Casey would not stand idly by. He was always available, to express some words of encouragement or guidance. to those who needed it. And if a fellow needed a buck or a weed. the guy who wore number 19 for the ‘Green and White‘ so proudly for so many years. was usually there with the goods. For the coming year how about having Casey do a periodic guest column on Sports in general. or on the sport he loves and knows best. fastball. We‘re sure the fans would appreciate knowing that he‘s still alive and bitching in his own inimitable style. In any event it‘s doubtful if we‘ve heard the last of Sir Stafford Jr. We certainly hope not. ART SMOKE. Past Secretary Treasurer. T. and D. Senior Fastball League.
