Brown Owl Audrey Hilton reports a most successful winter program held by lst Richvale Brownie Pack. In March a father and daughter sleigh ride was held at the Hayloft, following which the participants enjoyed hot dogs, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows over a roaring bonfire. On March 17 the following badges were presented: cook, Tracy Daoust. Jen- nifer Hilton, Sandra Hooper, Michelle Padley, Alison Saben. Jodi Walker, Angela Hunter and Sarah Orseni; woodworker, Heather Leyman; writer. Deborah Cross; Golden Bar, Sarah Robinson and Kim Cichettek. Following the presentations, the girls enjoyed an evening of games and songs. “Buy a button" is the hope of all Cadets, Rangers, Guides and Brownies of York South Division. The buttons are colorfully designed in orange and white and are heralding the “Guiding on the Move” program for 1975. For the pack’s in- ternational celebrations for Thinking Week the girls brought items from other countries to share and talk about. Posters were made by the older girls and Snowy Owl and some Brownies who came from other countries put on demonstrations. On April 14 Mrs. Hunter, a local artist displayed some art techniques to the girls. Brown Owl is planning a spring outing to a provincial park for the pack. Cadet Captain Betty O'Rourke reported a most successful eight-day craft and folklore session held at Girl Guide Cabana in Mexico. Eighty leaders from the United States, England, El Salvador and Canada exchanged news and ideas, and participated in a service project of crafts and games for 625 children in Guer- navaca. Joan O’Rourke of the 2nd Central Cadet Company accompanied her mother and took part in the Mexican program. Ranger Leaders held a sharing session in Oshawa April 2, led by Ranger Captain Gail Thompson. On May 10, Brownies and Guides of Richmond Hill West will be manning a booth at Richmond Hill Agricultural Fair. Crafts and baked goods will be sold and the public’s support is requested TOTAL PRIZES Crowds came from a wide area to patronize the annual Headford UCW bazaar at Victoria Square Community Hall.
