The jail farm was once more in the news last week. This time it was the Langstaff Community living just south of High- way 7 between Bayview and Yonge St., who are suggesting how this property be used. The present govern- ment proposal is for in- stalling the Parkway Belt along with Ontario Hydro transmission lines through this Highway 7 community. New jail farm view In order to avoid the problems and hardships this would involve for the people. as well as putting an extra 700 people out of work, the group is proposing the Parkway Belt and the Hydro lines be placed in the jail farm area.
