He was ap- pointed treasurer of Heath and Sherwood Drilling Ltd. in 1964 and treasurer of Upper Canada Mines in Kirkland Lake in 1970. He was vice-president of Upper Canada Resources of Toronto, a company with interests in manufacturing, natural gas, mines and mining services, for the past five years. Obtaining a degree from the University of Toronto in mechanical engineering, he joined the Abitibi Paper Co. where he remained until his 1971 retirement. Clifford Anderson, 68 of Thornhill, a retired professional engineer, died Nov. 22. Anderson was born in the Dufferin-Eglinton area on what was then a family farm, Carrotte leaves his wife, Norma; three daughters, Debbie, Lynn and Louise; and two sons, Dan and Norman.
