District Family Y Win tar program ready Depot busy Hill recycling effort By Margaret Lade The District Family Y has lined up a winter program so varied and versatile it should have appeal for everyone â€" from age two to 102 â€"- in the area. While many of the programs in fitness, crafts, hobbies, games, are planned for the Y Centre at 83 Dunlop Street, Richmond Hill, others are scattered to meet the needs of local communities, in Thor- nhill, Richvale, Oak Ridges, Aurora. Additional volunteers are welcome at the re- cycling depot he said, but parental consent is requested, along with an anti-tetanus injectiori certificate. Most programs begin a week after the school holiday break. Fees vary Average cost for a 10- week program is about $15, but it varies ac- cording to facilities and equipment needed. And there will be basketball for boys and jiuâ€"jitsu for boys and girls â€" both at the Y Centre. Work was to commence at the beginning of the month to stregthen the barn floor, making a larger area for separation and storage. Baby-sitter‘s training will be offered for boys and girls 12 and up, and there will be puppet classes for those six and over as well as art classes at the Y Centre. Music and instrument will be included in the enrolment fee for the recorder group which will be offered to young people seven to 13 Saturdays beginning Jan. 17 in Emmanuel Church, Mackay Drive, Richvale. Adults, too, may learn to play the recorder â€" at St. Paul's United Church, Sunset Beach Road, beginning Jan. 12.
