Some of the original documents on display date from 1822, including the first copy of the Colonial Advocate printed by Mackenzie in Queenston in 1824. Afternoon tea is served daily in the gallery from 2 to 4 pm. Reservations are necessary on weekends â€" 366-1371. Mackenzie House is open from 9:30 am. to 5 pm. Monday to Saturday, noon to 5 pm. Sundays and holidays. Adults 50 cents, children and senior citizens 25 cents. Children nine to 14 will be performing Puss’n Boots in pantomime at Willowdale Library, 5126 Yonge Street south of Finch Avenue, at 3 pm. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Last year over 250 bus loads of out-of-town people from Canada and the U.S. and 85,000 cars carrying 250,000 people visited the Christmas abstract artists opened at the Art Gallery of Ontario Dec. 19 and continues to Jan. 18. Initiated and organized by the gallery, the show will travel to art centres across Canada and the United States. More than 160 prints by North American artists Mel Bochner, Sol LeWitt, Robert Mangold, Brice Marden, Agnes Martin, Edda Renouf, Dorothea Rockburne and Robert Ryman are on exhibit. M.
