Education Director John Zupancic, in a report to the board, said the projects would have to compete with others throughout the province. However, he felt they had “made a good presentation and will gain some measure of suc- cess" when considered by ministry officials. The projects include two new schools, St. Michael's in Thornhill, and St. ' Paul’s in Newmarket. The first will contain 485 pupil places, while the second will have a maximum capacity of 411. The two other projects are both additions. The first is at Holy Name in King, which will add a kindergarten plus five more instructional rooms, a library resource centre, general purpose room, lunch room, health unit and counselling and guidance centre. The rooms would in- crease the pupil places from 210 to 406.
