This hot air balloon won a third-place award for Stornoway School student Aimee Stricker of Romfield Circuit, Thornhill. Her project was entered in physical science category. Tacon said his exhibit attempted to produce amino acids necessary for life under conditions that existed on earth about four billion years ago â€" before life existed. Paul Tacon of Dr. G. W.
