For further information phone 884-9148. Hill Navy league seeks members RICHMOND HILL â€"â€" The Navy League of Canada‘s Richmond Hill branch will begin its recruiting drive this month. Later in the month they will hold displays and drills at Towne and Countrye Square, Hillcrest Mall and Upper Canada Mall. The Richmond Hill branch has two troops, the Sea Cadets for ages 14 to 19 and the Navy League Cadets for ages 11-13. The branch opened eight years ago and has the only cutless team operating in Canada. They are currently trying to raise $700 to outfit the 25-member team in navy whites. Nursing home has open house RICHMOND HILL â€" A wine and cheese party will be held at Country Place Nursing Home Sept. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. Country Place, on 18th Avenue east of Yonge Street, was opened in 1972 on 16 acres of land and has 100 residents living at the home. The wine and cheese party is part of the open house weekend planned to familiarize area residents with the, home and to offer those interested in volunteer work an opportunity to view the facility. Camera Club exhibits work RICHMOND HILL â€" York Regional Camera Club presents a display now on view in the auditorium of the Richmond Hill Public Library on Wright Street.
