THORNHILL â€"â€" The underground garage is becoming a popular place for the underground in Thornhill, especially on Inverlochy Boulevard. Long a happy hunting ground for area hoodlums, the apartment garage was well visited the past week, with five residents reporting thefts from their cars, four of them at 80 Inverlochy Boulevard. Last wéek, ’both Richmond Hill and Newmarket had bomb threats to local business places. The thefts from the cars of Colin Crawford, Maurice Lamoreux, Michael Kennedy and Theodor Sachi, included a typewriter, scuba tank, TV set and a tape deck. In Richmond Hill, the call was made to the Mutual Life Building about 5:20 pm, Sept. 7. A secretary told police a man called and said a bomb was going off. He then hung up. Peter Liima, of 83’Inverlochy, had some articles valued at $340, taken from his car while it was parked in the driveway. In Newmarket, Richard Meyer, manager of Chicken King Ltd., Newmarket Plaza, also got a similar call. Policé, however, made an arrest in an incident that took place in an underground garage on Inverlochy, August 13. 7 At that time, someone slashed four tires on a car, belonging to Miles Verey, who was visiting a friend at the apartment.
