Phillip and MacGregor lor their skill and care upon completion of successful surgery during my stay at York Central Hospital. This being my lust time in 70 years to be hospita- lized. I was most impressed by the kind and loving care prowded by the nursing seNices. Their cheerlul atti< tude and ellicient completion 01 their many duties under what at times seemed a very heavy work load was an inspiration to me as no doubt it was to other patients. Who can measure the therapeutic value of kind loving care? A "Tip of the hat" also to the dietary and envuonmental semces. Many thanks. Day care fee down NEWMARKET â€" A reduction in rates for two weeks a year will be given in York Region's day care centres, it was decided by the health and social services committee last week. The rates, which range from $5 a week to $44, will be reduced one-fifth, because of the centres closing on Remembrance Day and Easter Monday. The reductions were approved as most people must work those two days. Committee chairman Evelyn Buck of Aurora said that, although no reductions were given when the centre closed on other statutory holidays, it was felt the two déys deserved special con- sideration. SIOUX LOOKOUT. Safe Dieting Beware of fad diets. Diets that concentrate on a limited number of foods or t of foods may actually be arm- ful. The best diets for reducing are those that restrict calories yet contain a well-balanced variety of foods allowing for three meals a day. '5 Call York and save!
