Collingwood tied the game near the end of the first period and that's the way it stayed until the final period. It was down to business then as the Hillers scored four more and wrapped up the contest 5-2. The third period jinx caught up with the Legion as Barrie tied the game. With only sixteen seconds left to play, the Legion, on a power play in Barrie’s end, lost the draw as Barrie shot the puck down the ice, dug it out and scored. Final â€" Barrie 5, Legion 4. Paul Shewchuk played a strong game in goal for the Legion. but the Hillers got it back as Blair Lewis scored, unassisted. Stan Norman connected Monday night, Bowmanville came in for an exhibition game and outplayed the Legion to win 5-3. Phil Wood put the home team on the score sheet early in the first period with Reiner Pleschberger and Greg Walton assisting. Three minutes later, Steve Madden put the Hillers up two as he scored from Blair Lewis. The Legion travels to Windsor for a tournament on Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
