RICHMOND HILL â€"â€" Leave your wallets at home, would seem to be a good warning to hockey players, plus anybody else who plans to use the changeroom at a rink, school or community centre. Police reported 11 different thefts from area locker rooms, including three from Richmond Hill Arena and one from Thornhill Community Centre. The thief all but left police his name. In the Thornhill case, a wallet con- taining $57 and two tickets for Maple Leaf Gardens for the evening of Feb. 1, was taken from a changeroom at the Centre, Jan. 21. Woodbridge arrest At Woodbridge High School, a youth was arrested in connection with the theft of money and attempted theft from a change room. Charged with theft under $200 and attempted theft, is John Simone, 17, of Humber Dr. About $200 damage was done to Thornhill Community Centre, where two mirrors and a fire extinguisher door were broken. Double Rink Arena in Concord was also popular with thieves, who hit a locker room and two cars. Taken from the former was a wallet containing $200, belonging to Horst Seawald, lslington. One of the wallets was later recovered, but the cash was missing. At Aurora Too In Aurora, four hockey players from St. Andrew’s College, had their wallets taken from a dressing room at the community centre. In Richmond Hill, Steven Brown. Maple; Tom Kirisit, Wenlock Dr., and Dennis Cruttendon, North Taylor Mills Dr., Richmond Hill, all had their wallets taken from a locked room at the Richmond Hill Arena. Arrested was Michael Hetherington, 18, of Deaconwood Rd., Thomhill.
