King lecture series KETTLEBY â€" “The World Around Us†lecture series continues at York Pines United Church, Kettleby, with Christopher Chapman, an independent film maker who has achieved international recognition, presenting his most recent film, “A Sense of Humus†at 10 a.m. today. Next week, Mrs. Pat Kerr will talk and present slide on the effects of color and music on human behavior. Mrs. Kerr was a commercial artist who later studied music and became involved in research in behavioral sciences at York University. Admission to each weekly sesssion is $1.50. Free babysitting is provided. Annual fashion show DON MILLS 'â€" The junior auxiliary of the Canadian Cancer Society will hold its 24th annual fashion show Thursday March 3 at the Inn on the Park. Wednesday, Feb. 16, N- Heart fund aid need RICHMOND HILL â€" Volunteers are still needed throughout the year for non-campaign activities for the Canadian Heart Fund, which is observing Heart Month throughout Canada. In fact, says the foundation, “Volunteers are our lifeblood.†The foundation said the latter are used to help initiate community programs designed to help all Canadians prevent heart disease, or reduce the possibility of acquiring it. Volunteers also assist in canvassing homes and business places for funds. Anyone wishing to volunteer in this area can call Richmond Hill chairman, Beth Golding, at 884-4756. The national objective for Heart Month is $8,000,000, with Ontario POEMS WANTED The National Society of Published Poets is responsible for $4,000.
