RICHMOND HILL â€" The Thornlea Secondary School Thors' Seniors proved that a good little man can sometimes beat a good big man. They did it by edging the Thornhill Tigers 61-58 Friday night of last week to win the York County Secondary School basketball and advance to the Georgian Bay finals next Saturday at Aurora High. Different story It was a different story in the junior contest as a vastly superior Markham squad ran roughshod over Newmarket High by a 76-30 score. The Thors unit saw four of its starters in the under 6‘1 category while Thor- nhill‘s line-up was exactly the opposite. For the most part, anyway.
