The first game saw Penny Thompson and Marg Cooper sub- stituting. For the Flappers, top honors went to the Barrie rink of G. Jansen, L. Bell, 1. Jefferson and I. Emery. Unionville was runner-up. Other local rinks were skipped by Florence Rintoul, Dorothy Nystrom, Ian McLeod and Pat Jurczak. This very popular annual event attracted two teams from Buffalo. Sinner‘s spiel Another very popular spiel was held last Saturday as it was the Sinners’ turn to take over. Once again Ray Jones and his rink from Antikokan came down to take part. Secofid prize went to the Barrie Curling Club. The rink accumulating the most points after three six-end games was Casey Sterling's crew from Avonlea. They consisted of Wayne Sterling, Mike Hobson, and Walt Derrett. Barry Wilson from Richmond Hill and his rink of Oliver, Bruce Hamilton and Stu Paul, came in second with the aid of a special broom. Another Avonlea rink, skipped by Doug Kiron was third. By Ron Taylor place went to Murray Thorpe and his Richmond Hill rink of John John- ston‘ Bob Costello and Don McRea.
