Oak Ridges novices come up with trophy The Oak Ridges Atom Kings finished their hockey season with a kineg flourish winning the Little NHL C and CC division grand championship and the York Simcoe title. Not bad. The Little NHL tournament saw the Atom Kings whipping Little Brittain 7- 1, Elmvale 8-3, Pelham 3-2, and Honeywood 5â€"0 in the championship game. White Cap captures consolation Kings live up to name! Oak Ridges, sponsored by '1‘ & J Commercial Cleaners, was unbeatable in this final game behind the air-tight goal tending of Glen McKenzie. The goals were handled by Robert Sanders and Jeff Harris with two apiece with Frank Rossi adding a goal and an assist. w = Other assists went to Steven Arnold, David Koteff, Jeff Mitchell, Bob Lusby, Robert Munroe and Peter Narduzzi. The Kings were also rolling in fine fashion in their York Simcoe playoffs despatching with Sutton and Schom- berg in straight games. It was all Kings in the Schomberg wrap-up as they downed the latter team 3-0, 4-1 and 6-0 in the final championship game. 2 shutouts McKenzie Goalie Glen McKenzie registered two shutouts in this series and one in the Sutton series which saw Oak Ridges winning 3-2. 3-0 and 6-2.
