Y8 0 musicians highlight outing at Sharon Temp/e Auditions for I Am A Camera, the first production of the new season for Richmond Hill Curtain Club, will be held Aug. 15 and 16 at 7:30 pm. at the Club. Introduced by the President of the Historical Society, Guy Saunders, violinist Eileen Bordessa, violist Dr. James Knowles, cellist Betty Thomas and flautist Karl Rohowsky played the beautiful flute quartet in C major, by Mozart. In the Haydn Trio in G major Miss Bordessa, Dr. Knowles and Miss Thomas played with security and a pleasing balance of tone with obvious enjoyment and confidence. Miss Bordessa’s violin passages were played expressively and with technical control and brilliance. The Real Inspector Hound Doing the lighting is Clay Warner, another workshop ‘veteran.’ ‘The Real Inspector Hound,‘ a play that takes a stab at theatre critics and the conventional murder mystery, opens tonight (Aug. 10) at the Curtain Club for a four - day run to Saturday. A ‘zany satire' by Tom Stoppard, the play is being presented by Summer Theatre Workshop as a windup to its summer session. This is the fourth season for the workshop, a non-profit summer project financed by its members, plus box-office receipts. Comprised of young people, some of whom are studying dramatic art, and others who are ac- tively engaged with local community and high school theatre groups, the performers get together to pool their knowledge and to gain further ex- perience in the world of theatre. Directing is Heather Mann, 3 member of the summer crew for four years. Last year she appeared as Emily in the workship’s production of Waltz of the Toreadors. The lieutenant-gove- rnor is a patron of the Foundation, which sponsors and administers the theatre company each summer. According to a release from the group, in order to ‘explore the potential of its members and to give them an opportunity to try their hands at various aspects of play produc- tion,’ two members are filling new roles for the first time. Mrs. McGibbon and her husband. D.W. McGib- bon, will attend the play as guests of the Georgian Foundation of the Per- forming Arts and the Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology. McGibbon to attend play opening Pauline McGibbon, lieutenant-governor of Ontario, will attend the Gryphon Theatre’s opening performance of ‘Luv‘ on Aug. 15 at the Georgian College Theatre in Barrie.
