Rotary Club plays ball Sunday It’ll be the first (maybe the last depending on the casualties) of what's hoped to be an annual District 707 Rotarian softball tournament. “Most of us are in our 40_‘s and 50's," states Richmond Hill Rotarian Joe Horvat. “so we just live from inning-to- inning." Horvat, who will catch, states the tournament “will be a fun-thing which will help us get to know some of our other Rotarians in various communities. “We hope the spec- tators will drop down and watch the games,“ he said Added Horvat: “For the most part armchair ball players, these men now intend to practice what they preach and they will be prepared to play ball. “Even though some waist lines will be non- existent and a few chests have dropped. spectators can expect an afternoon of exciting ball. “What these guys lack in professionalism, they make up for in deter- mination. If you're looking for a funâ€" afternoon then grab a mination. If you're looking for a funâ€" afternoon then grab a chair and join the Rotarians at Bradstock Park. “Please note there will be no seventhâ€"inning stretch as these players consider that a game."
