Second prize went to Scholastic Publications Oxford Street must be Richmond Hill‘s loveliest this year, for next door neighbors there are judged top prize winners in The Liberal’s 2nd Annual Rose Awards. First prize goes to Mr. and Mrs. Joe D’Agostino of 97 OXford Street. More than 100 properties were nominated for the awards this year. Judging was done by 11 volunteer local horticulturalists. Second prize goes to Mr. and Mrs. Vince Pacitto of 95 Oxford Street. Maple Leos plan first function as a new group The newly-formed Maple Leos have planned their first official func- tion, a charter night, dinner and dance to be held on Saturday, Oct. 1. They hope to attract 100 Leos and friends. The‘teenage group first met last May and has now elected its own executive, independent of the sponsor club, the Maple Lions.
