SID SPENCER The calibre of soccer is high as evidenced by the fact that teams from the various clubs have done quite well in ‘cup com- petitions and tour- naments around the province and in in- ternational competitions. Recently teams from Richmond Hill, Markham, Stouffville and Thornhill gave very good accounts of themselves at the Mosquito level against the visiting Stella Club from Mexico. The Region of York Inter-District Soccer League was formed at the beginning of the year and provides soccer at a competitive level for boys from 6 to 18 years of age. It consists of 50 teams in 10 divisions from Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill, King City, Markham, Whitchurch- Stouffville and Thornhill.
