masâ€"lâ€"w. ~....... .. The hole and chunks of dog fur are all that remain after two dogs attacked and killed two No Chance penned rabbits on Emerald Isle Court recently. Dogs weren't hungry as the rabbits were not eaten, reader says in letter below. Two dogs killed our pet rabbits Do you own a Samoyed or a large brown and black rough goated dqg? Was your dog roaming loose on the night of October 1 or morning of October. 2. The item in the picture was the home of a pet rabbit. The above mentioned dogs destroyed the home and killed the rabbit. We have another cage similarly destroyed and another dead rabbit. These rabbits were gentle pets. kept in cages on our own property. They were noiseless and a bother to no one. They had lived in security for three years. Two other rabbits are still alive only because their cage had a stronger wire on it. but the rabbits sat huddled together refusing food for two days after their friends were killed. On the morning of Oct. 2 we got up to find the horrible mutilation of the cages and our rabbits lying dead. the two dogs still standing by the cages. The rabbits had not been eaten so the dogs apparently did not kill in hunger. We do not blame the dogs entirely. They should not have been running loose but we wonder what would make pet dogs kill so frantically something that was caged and not bothering them. and Silverplate Items 20% OFF Giftware Pictures, Wooden, Glass, Copper, Assorted Steins, Jewel Boxes, Cup 8 Saucers, Wall Plaques, etc. Pewter, Crystal Come in and browse. We were worried about what the dogs would do next so we phoned the Canine Control only to be told that they did not make calls on weekends except for accident cases. They were not even able to accept the dogs at the shelter had we been able to bring them in. The people were polite and sympathetic but could do nothing to help on a Sunday. It was fiot in their ‘contract". The portion of the Highway affected is shown as Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 on Reference Plan BAR-6415 and a copy of the plan and the draft By-Iaw are available for inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk, 10266 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, Ontario. One of our concerns was the ducks and geese at the Mill Pond being tame and easily caught by the dogs. Dog ownersâ€"you are not doing your pets any favour by letting them run loose and you are certainly not doing the rest of us any favour. Weldon Clerk I must express my dismay with the recent review of John Van Druten's "I Am A Letters There‘s been a‘ billboard around Richâ€" mond Hill and along Yonge Street through to Toronto, It shows several people skipping through a park, all wvaring real fur coats. Tho capfion reads “Fur is for Everyone". This is an example of the ignorance that some people have just to sell a product.
