Leg/0n to feature jazz sessions The sessions, which will go from 2 pm. to around supper time, will feature some of the top jazz names around, with the first one on the list, the Climax band from Toronto. James Haggart, who organizes the en- tertainment for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 375, on Ohio Road in Rich- mond Hill, said that starting in January, the club will present a jazz concert the last Sunday of every‘ month during the year. Tickets for the concerts are $7 a pair. MORE TO COME They’ll be followed by Dr. McJazz, who per- formed last Sunday at the Legion before a large and enthusiastic crowd. However, despite the large numbers, the club isn’t going to have to build an addition to its premises on Newkirk Road, because the cast, itself, is made up of 20 people, most of whom will be playing more than one roll, many as much as three. The play, by Joan Littlewood, which looks at the First World War with a comic and irreverent eye, presents an am- bitious undertaking for the club, which has always saved its music for the parties af- terwards. LOTSOFSONGS However, this time there’ll be plenty of Gigantic cast for "A Love/y War†The number of people in “Oh, What 3 Lovely War," Richmond Hill Curtain Club’s next production, almost outnumbers one of the divisions it tells about, as some 90 roles are featured in this play with music. There‘s going to be more than just snow around Richmond Hill in the new year. Escorted MOT ORCOACH '7 ï¬lings $749. per person twin Many Departures in Feb.. Apt. May. June July. Aug..
