The Dynes boys are the only Canadian representatives in their division and will face strong op position from local Florida clubs as well as teams from the soccer hotbeds of Virginia, Maryland, Texas and Mexico. For the first time the local girls will be‘represented by the Cadillac- Baif Mosquitoes. The local club will be making its third successive appearance in this international tournament and will be represented in the boys divisions by the Minor Atom Dynes Jewellers and the Minor Mosquito Richmond Hill Kinsmen. These lucky souls represent the Richmond Hill contingent in the 1977 Junior Orange Bowl soccer tournament in Miami, Florida, from December 26 to 29. But for 78 members, parents and friends of the Richmond Hill Minor Soccer Club, Christmas 1977 will also mean travel, Sunshine and soccer. The enthusiasm of the Cadillac-Baif girls for the tour- nament can be judged by the fact they are carrying the maximum 16 players on the team. Wearing the green and white will be Orveo Paolett, Gino Digioacchino, Chris Pescador, Shaun Cooke, Robbie Stel, Kevin Ryan, Terry Coles, Andrew Phelps, Kelly Grams, Scott Massey, Kenny Harrington, Jeff Menczel and Glen Dimpfel. They are also the reigning Region of York League and Cup champions and had an excellent tournament in Chatham, New Jersey in May of 1977. As a minor atom team they lost narrowly to champions Annandale in the 1975 Orange 'Bowl tour- nament and have improved since then.
