Wednesday. October A Banner Workshop will be held at Richmond Hill United Church Saturday, October 14 from 10 am. to 4 pm. The workshop is open to everyone 12 years old and up. No artistic ability is needed to learn to make a banner. Well-known liturgical artist, Lewis Hindle, will be on hand to show you how. Tomorrow, October 12 at 10:30 am. Richmond Hill United Church will feature a special service for shut-ins. People who find a regular church service too long will enjoy this as well. After the service, luncheon will be served. The cost per person is $3 and you are to bring a lunch. All iou need to do is bring a pair of scissors and register by call the church office at 884- 1301. Outreach Sunday is October 22, and the guest preacher will be Rev. Winston Brown. The service will have a Caribbean theme. Guest soloist will be Winston Thurlock. A potluck supper will start at 4:30 pm, and everyone is encouraged to bring along a sample of Jamaican recipes. This is a family evening and a film entitled ‘A Long Way To Go‘ will be featured. OUR LADY'S GUILD Our Lady’s Guild Fall Bazaar to be held October 28 will feature an International Christmas table. You will be able to pur- chase that special something a little different at this table. What this means is that if there are 10 boys in the colony, and All mothers of Beavers must be trained as leaders. There is no charge for the training as the District will look after it. Other features will be the draw on a handmade queen-size quilt, and other prizes. There will be a corner for the youngsters, light lunches. and much more.
