Richmond Hill opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Darin Grodzinski assisted by Carl Killy. In the second it was Jim Hodson from Ralph Seybold and in the third it was Hodson again from Paul Christiansen. Jim Formenton got the final goal on an unassisted effort into an open net. King came back again making it 5-4 but Neil Thomas stole the puck in his own end with King's goalie out and fired home the clincher with six seconds remaining John Paul played well in goal for R.I.C.‘s win.
