Gormley Sand Novices win Gormiey Sand 8: Gravel Novices played' one‘of’their best games of the season last week to nip Victoria Square Lions 2-1 in Oak Ridges House League hockey. Maple No. 3 Accurate 7, Oak Ridges No. 1 Pizza Delight 4. Shawn Mieskie scored three goals for the losers with Pat Marzilli getting the other one. Marzilli also drew an assist along with Andrew Alworth and Colin McGowan. Gino Rulli was the big gun for the winners scoring both goals with Wayne Kelly assisting on the winner. Shawn Douse scored for Victoria Square in the early part of the second period to tie the game. Other novice play saw: Gormley Sand & Gravel 2, Maple [GA 1. Curtis Stairs came up with some excellent goaltending in this one with consistent help from his teammates. There were just 36 seconds left in the game when Gormley’s Gino Rulli tied the game and just one second to go when David Piirto won it. ATOM Gerritts Well Drilling 6. Pizza Delight 3. This was the drillers first win in four meetings over Pizza Delight as Donny Rawding led the way with three goals and two assists.
