The pupose of the Official Plan Amendment is to redesignate the subject lands from PARKWAY BELT WEST PLANNING AREA to URBAN RESIDENTIAL and OPEN SPACE, to extend the boundary of the Thornlea Planning District (Planning District No. 9) northerly to encompass the designated area of the Amendment and to provide appropriate policies for the development of the lands. The Secondary Plan has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 8.2 of the Official Plan.
