July The Richmond Hill and area Block Parents Association will hold its second annual picnic at Bruce‘s Mills Conâ€" servation Area July 22 (Sunday) from 10 am to 3 pm. All Block Parents and their families are welcome to attend the picnic for a day of fun and games. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided, but everyone is asked to bring a picnic lunch. The Block Parents are more in need now that the schools are closed for the summer‘ If your Block Parent sign is worn out and faded. the association will replace it with a new one, but you must turn in the old one. A certified cheque of $100 is required which will be refunded when all materials are returned. All Drive-In Appraisal Centres approved by Insurance Bureau of Canada will be owned by qualified individuals or organizations, operated in accordance with IBC standards and procedures and subject to supervision and inspection by IBC. Applicants should have a business background, preferably in the field of automotive repair or vehicle damage appraisal. They should have a good record of ability to serve the public. Ideally, they should also have a knowledge of the insurance industry. Centres now operating in Ontario, Alberta and the Maritimes indicate that competent operators can achieve an equitable profit while providing greater convenience and economies to the driving public. IBC now intends to expand the Drive-In Appraisal Centre program in the York Region.
