The first thing you notice is that all the women wear gold rings in their noses and their clothes are very colorful. They wear the traditional mola blouse If you are taking the Panama City holiday.l strongly recommend the San Blas and Contadora Island tours. Contadora is one of the Pearl Islands and is truly a jewel of the Pacific, It's crescentâ€" shaped bays are fringed with wide white sand beaches. There is sailing, water-skiing. snorkling. fishing, golfing. tennis, a huge swimming pool, a casino and two world class restaurants. All this on an island barely three miles long and a mile wide. The San Blas Islands are a study in contrasts, they are as primitive as Panama City is modern. To get there you fly from Panama City on the Pacific over the Con- tinental Divide t0 Colon on the Atlantic in a 20 passenger de Havilland Nin Otter. Then take a :our boat to one of the islands. There‘s a trip to the island of Contadora in the Pacific Ocean. and a trip [0 the San Blas Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. These are sold in a package, both trips for $99.
