Eleven portables are required to handle the overflow. The delegation was angry because approval has been granted for a new school in Milliken The parents are con- cerned because children freeze in the winter and roast in the summer when they must attend classes in the portables. Overcrowded conditâ€" ions in the parking lot have caused an expansion into the children's playground, parents told the board. They complained it wasn'( fair &0 the children, who also learn while they are playing. A delegation of 60 parents from the Woodbridge and Pine Valley area demanded action at last week‘s meeting of the York Region Separate School Board The parents com- plained about crowded conditions in existing schools and are seeking approval of a new school for Pine Valley. THE ROTARY CLUB OF RICHMOND HILL, in co-operation with Classicomm Cable 10 TV is holding a TV. Auction on Thursday, December 6, and Friday, December 7. All the profits from this Auction will be donated to The York Centre far Learning Disabilities PHOENIX PROGRAM. This new program focuses on adolescents who have learning problems, with the long term objective of assisting young people towards becoming coping, competent, contributing adults. Adolescents (13-17), who live in the Regional Munici- pality of York and have evidence of specific learning disability are eligible for THE PHOENIX PROGRAM, which is not funded by the Government or the local School Board. It relies entirer on voluntary contributions from the community and The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill hopes that through the medium of this TV AUCTION, sufficient funds will be raised to sustain this program. The Club President, Mr. Gordon McIntyre, would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person and company who has donated to this Auction and thus ensuring its success. On the following pages are listed the items, including ALL NIGHT ITEMS and ALL AUCTION ITEMS that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on December 6th 8 7th. Eight (8) items will be auctioned off each 20 minutes. Some items have reserve bids, as shown in the listing. Items going up for bids will be shown on Cable 10 TV within the first five (5) minutes of each 20 minute segment.
